ELANCO Library is pleased to participate in PA Forward®, the Pennsylvania Library Association’s 21st Century Literacies Initiative, which encourages libraries to offer high quality programs, services, and collections that foster the development of Basic Literacy, Information Literacy, Civic and Social Literacy, Health Literacy, and Financial Literacy.
Data shows that acquisition of and growth in these Five Literacies is correlated with academic and financial success, more engaged and informed citizens, and increased quality of life for individuals and in communities. Libraries, as community centers of learning, information, and technology, are ideally positioned to promote these literacies.

On October 20, 2023, ELANCO Library officially earned a Gold Star within the PA Forward Star Library Program.
