About The Friends of the ELANCO Library

The Friends of ELANCO Library is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to supporting Eastern Lancaster County Library, both monetarily and through community involvement. The Friends provide financial support by supplementing the library’s annual operating budget, as well as supplying goods/services for special projects throughout the year. Our largest fundraising efforts are annual book sales, generally held in April and December.  These sales also encourage community participation and promote library use.

The Friends are always looking for new members. You can help us prepare for book sales and join in other projects at the library that are supported by the Friends. Training is provided. If you would like to learn more about the Friends of ELANCO Library, or would like to become a member, contact Friends President Andi Taylor at friendsofelanco@gmail.com.

Got Books?

The Friends of ELANCO Library accept the following donations for our book sales:

  • New or gently-used books, paperback or hardcover (no mold, mildew or other damage)
  • Children’s books, paperback or hardcover, in good condition (not written in, missing pages, stained or torn)

We cannot accept text books, encyclopedias, old magazines, Readers Digest condensed books, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, audiobooks, music CDs, or DVDs.

Donated materials are given to The Friends of ELANCO Library without condition. Upon receipt, donations become the property of the Friends. We reserve all rights to determine addition to the library’s collection or other appropriate uses.
