Join Dr. Stacey Irwin, professor of Communication & Theatre at Millersville University, for a lecture and conversation!
Media Literacy Week (https://medialiteracyweek.us/) is coming up on October 24 through October 28th. This talk provides context and work toward accessing, analyzing, evaluating, creating, and acting differently, for increased media literacy in daily life.
This event will take place downstairs in the library’s Board Room.
Dr. Irwin teaches Introduction to Public Speaking, Advanced Television Production, Leadership and Media, Media Writing: News, and much more at Millersville University. The author of several books (including Digital Media Human-Technology Relations) and Executive Producer/Director/Editor of the documentary Raising Faith: Stories About Dyslexia (https://dyslexiastories.com/), Dr. Irwin serves on the Board of Directors for Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania and is Executive Committee Secretary/Treasurer for the Board of Directors for the Broadcast Education Association.
